Learn how LAD verifies carrier access and product availability for an insurance professional and a specific case. Vol. 01 · MAY 2026

Carrier and Product Availability | LAD Financial

LAD does not treat a general carrier list as proof that a producer can write a particular product. Availability can depend on the producer’s license, appointment, training, contract, client state, product approval, and current carrier rules.

What LAD confirms for a proposed case

Before a carrier or product is presented as available, the responsible person should verify:

  1. The relationship between LAD and the carrier is active for the proposed line of business.
  2. The producer holds the required license and training and has the required appointment.
  3. The product is approved and currently available in the client’s state.
  4. The current carrier materials support the product terms being discussed.
  5. The applicable compensation terms have been confirmed from primary records.

The result may differ by producer and case. A carrier name shown in a system, document, or earlier case is not enough on its own.

Products

LAD may support annuity or life-insurance business when the required carrier relationship and case-specific conditions are confirmed. Product categories, features, guarantees, risks, and suitability considerations must be described from current, approved carrier materials and reviewed by an appropriately licensed professional.
